Lute player, teacher and musicologist

Wanda Kozyra, lutenist, was born in Gdańsk (Poland) into a family of artists (fine arts and music). After studying at the CNSM in Lyon (lute) and at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, she became interested in musical theater, old dance and improvisation and played in many early music ensembles. in France and abroad. Currently, she works with early music ensembles such as the Académie du Concert de Lyon, Conversation Baroque, Les femmes in Poland, and for La Cortesia, a collective she created and which is dedicated to early music. As a teacher, Wanda Kozyra teaches the lute at the C.R.R. in Lyon and at the C.R.D in Romans sur Isère. Holder of a Master of Musicology (Lyon 2 University) she is also doing a doctorate at the University of Tours (France) on dance music in lute and organ tablatures during the Renaissance.
