Masterclasses
Open to all levels, this class will be a one-on-one lesson (open for auditors to watch) with the faculty that will address the technical, musical, and stylistic issues that occur within the music from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. This class will also be a valuable resource for auditors who wish to explore aspects of interpretation, historical sources, and technical impediments that occur and can be applied to their own teaching and playing.
All participants that wish to perform for the class must complete the Masterclass Application form during registration and submit a video recording no later than July 15, 2023. Performers will be selected before the start of the festival and, once accepted as a performer, must submit a PDF of the composition they wish to perform. For questions please contact the Festival Director at lsafestivaldirector@gmail.com. Please note that seats are limited and participants will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.
Concerts
Concert programs will be announced closer to the festival date. You can read a biography of faculty and performers here.
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are available as an optional add-on. Private lessons are $75 for a 45 minute session.
Social Hours
After all concerts, there will be an online space provided to all LuteFest participants for informal socializing. More information will follow shortly before the start of the Festival.
