There are two class sessions a day (except Monday and Saturday – see schedule above), plus a masterclass. You will need to select which class you would like to attend for each session during registration. Click on each class on the schedule above to read its description.
Open to all levels, this class will be a one-on-one lesson (open for auditors to watch) with the faculty that will address the technical, musical, and stylistic issues that occur within the music from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. This class will also be a valuable resource for auditors who wish to explore aspects of interpretation, historical sources, and technical impediments that occur and can be applied to their own teaching and playing. All participants that wish to perform for the class must submit a video recording no later than June 10th, 2021 to email@example.com. Performers will be selected before the start of the festival and, once accepted as a performer, must submit a PDF of the composition they wish to perform.
Concert programs will be announced closer to the date. You can read a biography of each performer here.
Private Lessons are available only to full week registrants. Teachers are assigned based on preference and availability. During registration, you will choose your top four teachers, and we will place you with the top available choice.
After all concerts, there will be an online space provided to all LuteFest participants for informal socializing. More information will follow shortly before the start of the Festival.
