Vihuela de mano by Martin Bowers (2002)

A very rare and finely decorated vihuela de mano built in 2002 by English maker Martin Bowers, based on Italian early Sixteenth Cent. iconography.
Six double courses, diapason cm 58,8, tuned in G with Aquila nylgut strings
First quality spruce soundboard with six pieces of very nice marquetry and ebony edge. Two layers inserted rosette made in wood and turquoise parchment. Rounded back made with seven figured maple slightly carved ribs, interspaced by five black spacers (rosewood?).
Figured maple sides and sickle pegbox. The instrument is in very good condition and comes with a quite new Paxman MTM hard case.
