Liuto attiorbato / Archlute by Hendrik Hasenfuss (2014)
April 15, 2026For Sale
I am offering for sale a small liuto attiorbato / archlute after Cristoforo Choc ca 1650 made by Hendrik Hasenfuss in 2014. This is one of the last lutes to leave his workshop. 56/91 cm string length. The instrument works well as an archlute both in a’ and in g’ , currently gut strung as a 13-course baroque lute in e. Works well for continuo in smaller ensembles and perfect for solo playing, especially for smaller hands. Very good projection for such a small instrument, perfectly balanced in all registers, with great clearness of tone typical of Hasenfuss instruments.
Comes with made to measure Götz hardcase in perfect condition. Price 9.000 euros, buyer pays for shipping and insurance if this will be necessary. The lute is currently in Lyon, France.
