14-course archlute, built by Hendrik Hasenfuss after Pietro Raillich in 1999.
Back of yew, neck veneered with ebony.
String length is 59cm/140cm, which allows both for standard G- and A-tunings. Rich, colorful sound when playing solo. When playing continuo the high register is surprisingly present, adding a mandolin-like quality to the ensemble sound, especially when tuned up to A, along with the strong basses. It’s an incredible instrument, the only reason I’m selling it is my quitting music for another profession.
