A rare opportunity to purchase a completely documented 15-string lute in near mint condition by the late James G. Mackie of Minneapolis, MN, whose work has been displayed in the Smithsonian.
This was made specifically for Joan Myers in 1979 (bill of sale included) and this is currently being offered by the estate of Ms. Myers, whose one-time husband was early music scholar Stanley Buetens.
This lute is light as a feather, in perfect condition and has been stored in a climate-controlled setting since the 1990’s.
Lute comes with a handmade wooden case in excellent condition.
A large file of lute music will be included upon request.
