1983 7-course orpharion by AM. and HW. Westover, Wapole, NH
Opus 1834, after the Rose Orpharion of London, with beautiful hardwood case.
Body of figured maple, wire frets, low action.
Wire-strung strings by Northern Renaissance Instruments of Manchester, England
New orbital pegs for fine tuning by Blackbird Lutherie, Mel Wong of San Francisco, 2016
Slight separation between the body and back of the lute on the treble side, but does not affect the sound or playing. Beautiful instrument but I am not playing it any longer. Prefer local pickup om the SF Bay Area, it is a heavy instrument.
