Beautiful and spectacular original romantic guitar, in very good condition and neatly decorated with mother of Pearl and fine timbers inlays.
Maker unknown; Without the original label. It probably dates from the middle / second half of the 19th century. The guitar shows diverse influences in its craftsmanship, but it is very likely that it comes from the German region of Saxony; (probably from Marneukirchen, one of the most important musical instrument manufacturing centers in Europe for 350 years, or from Bubenreuth). The guitar exhibits the slotted dome-shaped head that Austro-German makers had begun to use in conjunction with geared tuners, since the 1830s.
Back: Cuban mahogany.
Gorgeous mid-century original pegs.
Mother-of-pearl inlays on the bridge, fingerboard, pegbox, top edges and soundhole.
Fine marquetry work made of very fine and various timbers throughout the instrument.
String length: 62 cm.
Fitted hard case included.
It´s a luxury instrument, extremely beautiful, and with a nice sound of the time. It is in a playable condition. It does not need any restoration to use.
