13 Course Baroque Swan Neck Lute by Herwin Gaminara Leal
September 9, 2026For Sale
13-course Baroque Swan Neck Lute by Herwin Gaminara Leal – Taught by David Van Edwards.
The combination of the Ebony staves, Sitka Spruce soundboard and hand tuned tone bars creates a clean, rich, silvery, complex tone desired for the Baroque lute, perfect for chamber or solo music.
Spruce top has tight grain with no cracks or separations.
Staves and spacer joints are tight and showing no gaps or separations.
All pegs are working and hold pitch very well.
Color tone to swan neck is applied in a traditional hand brushed method which produces a rag wipe look.
Shellac finish also in a traditional brushed application – more accurate to the period of historical building.
Stings (Nygut and metal) are in good condition.
